The Dasyueshan National Forest Recreation Area at ~2,600 m — the closest high-alpine dark sky to Taichung city. Forest-ringed with a high chance of a cloud sea, ideal for a two-day trip combining sunrise, cloud sea and night sky.
🌌 Tonight the Milky Way core climbs to a shootable altitude around 20:16, sinks back near 03:06, and peaks around 22:56 at roughly 37° in the South.
Via the Dasyueshan forest road (up from Dongshi) around the 43K Tianchi area; the road is long and slippery at night — go up in daylight.

Mar–Oct Milky Way season; autumn/winter brings dramatic cloud seas but cold nights.
